Pereira's Classroom Policies:

• Be on time and ready to begin class when the bell rings. 
• Bring all necessary materials to class, each day. 
• Be respectful of others; students should be silent and pay attention when the teacher or other students are speaking.
• Be prepared to turn in any assignment by the due date via the designated online platform; otherwise, it will be considered late and is susceptible to receiving no credit or a lower grade.
• Cellphones should be turned off or placed on Do Not Disturb and put away in a bag or cellphone pocket chart. The teacher reserves the right to confiscate any cell phone that is being used without permission. 
• If you are absent, it is the student's responsibility to excuse this absence and contact the teacher as soon as possible to attempt to seek a plan of action.

Late work 

Per the school policy, late work resulting from Excused Absences will be accepted within the acceptable time frame. Work will not be accepted beyond the acceptable time frame of 3 academic school days. I reserve the right to input a "Z" in the grade book if the student does not attempt to make up the assignment.

Plagiarism

No form of plagiarism, copying work, or cheating will be tolerated. All assignments must be original work currently produced by the student. If there is evidence of cheating, both parties are considered at fault and will receive a detention, a parent phone call, and reduced or no credit. Plagiarism will be dealt with similarly. Repeated offenses will be result in a referral to the Dean of Discipline and guidance. Most assignments will be submitted via Turnitin.com.
