The Student Services Department at COHEA assists all students with curriculum choices, college planning, college applications and financial aid application process, and the selection of higher education institutions and careers. In addition, counselors are available to assist students with their personal concerns, to meet with students and their parents when necessary, and to help students resolve difficulties related to academic achievement. Each student is assigned a school counselor.  The school counselor will provide academic, college and personal counseling.

The student services department is available to help students with any of the following issues:

  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  • Peer relationships and social skills
  • Bullying prevention
  • Coping strategies
  • Self-esteem
  • Organizational, study and test taking skills
