Developmental Language- HS

Developmental Language Arts is designed to aid students in developing and applying active reading strategies in order to be successful in reading. This class aims to prepare students for Florida Assessments and helps students master achievements emphasized by the BEST Standards. Students will be involved in differentiated and data-driven instruction that will focus on:

• Reading Across Genres
• Communicating Through Writing
• Following Conventions
• Creating and Collaborating
• Vocabulary
• And more!

Intensive Reading- Grades 9 and 10

The purpose of my Reading courses is to strengthen your reading and writing skills and help prepare you to meet your graduation-testing requirements. Thus, you will encounter intense academic demands over the course of this year. I assume you will meet each challenge with dedication and the end result will be your personal improvement. Your personal improvement will in turn promote a classroom environment, which encourages maturity and understanding and negates maliciousness and negativity.
