My name is Camila Maldonado, and this is my fourth year at COHEA!
Since 2020, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by middle school students in the classroom. I understand the importance of tailoring my approach to students’ individual needs, encouraging them to work at their own pace while providing the necessary support to grasp challenging principles. Carrying the knowledge from my bachelors in Psychology, I work with students to provide individualized support and guidance to students struggling with math concepts.
This will be my second year working as a middle school math interventionist (grades 6-7), and I am committed to fostering an environment of positive growth, appreciation for procedures, and learning. Helping students build vital problem-solving skills, developing confidence in those skills, and setting themselves up for academic success is my biggest motivator as a paraprofessional.
