Mr. Leon has been dedicated to teaching mathematics and mathematics education for 20 years, driven by his passion for the subject and his commitment to education. Before joining COHEA, he was a professor at Florida International University in the College of Education and at Miami Dade College in the College of Mathematics and also works as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). He holds a degree in Mathematics Education, a master's in both Mathematics & Applied Behavior Analysis, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Teaching & Learning with a specialization in Advanced Mathematics.

This year, Mr. Leon is teaching Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB/BC. His dedication extends beyond the classroom; he is deeply committed to supporting children with special needs and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. He is an active member of both the Mathematics Department and the Advanced Placement Department, where he continues to inspire and support his students.
