Mr. Leon has been teaching mathematics and mathematics education courses for 15 yrs. He was a professor at Florida International University in the College of Education and Miami Dade College in the College of Mathematics prior to joining the HEA family. He has a degree in Mathematics Education and is currently pursuing his PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a Specialization in Advanced Mathematics. The courses taught by Mr. Leon include Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Calculus AB/BC, and Physics.

Mr. Leon is a member of the Mathematics Department, the Science Department, the Advanced Placement Department, a Leader In Me Coordinator, Girl's Flag Football Assistant Head Coach, and Sponsor of the Mu Alpha Theta (Mathematics Honor Society).
