Welcome to Mr. G's Music Class! It is my hope that you will enjoy the experience of learning about and playing music!

Teacher Bio:

Eric Gonzalez was born in Miami, Fl. He graduated from South Miami High School where he performed with the Band, Chorus and Orchestra. While there, he was selected to participate in several honor groups including the Grammy Jazz Band, the Florida All-State Band, and the South Florida Honor Band.

Mr. Gonzalez has taught middle and high school bands as well as the jazz ensembles. Before that he worked with various ensembles at the University of Southern Mississippi and served as a Graduate assistant in the school’s band program.

As an artist he has performed with the likes of Chuck Mangione and John Secada, and is currently an active musician and singer with several local mariachi groups.

Mr. Gonzalez holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Florida International University and a Master’s Degree in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi.
