Welcome! 

 

My name is Miguel De Leon, Mr. De Leon to all of my students. I hold a Bachelors in Political Science from Keiser University, and teaching is something I am passionate about. I have been teaching in COHEA for the past three years. I am excited this year to be able to work together to learn about World History. The curriculum consists of the following content area strands: World History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. The primary content for this course pertains to the development of the world’s earliest civilizations. The course will introduce students to the rise and fall of the ancient and classical civilizations of Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Furthermore, students will study methods of historical inquiry and become familiar with primary and secondary source documents.
