Welcome to the Nursing Academy!
Dear Students,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the new school year at our Nursing Academy! My name is Ms. Barriel, and I have the honor of being your instructor and guide as we embark on this exciting journey together. As a registered nurse, I am passionate about not only providing quality care but also inspiring the next generation of nursing professionals.
This year is particularly special for me, as it marks my first year leading the Nursing Academy. I am eager to share my knowledge and experiences with you, helping you navigate the challenges and triumphs that come with pursuing a career in nursing. Before transitioning to nursing education, I spent three rewarding years as a math teacher at COHEA. This experience not only honed my teaching skills but also allowed me to engage with students in a meaningful way, fostering a love for learning that I hope to bring to our nursing program.
My educational journey began at Nova Southeastern University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology. This solid foundation in the sciences has been invaluable in my nursing practice. Following that, I attended Miami Regional University and obtained my Associate of Science in Nursing. This hands-on training equipped me with the skills necessary to provide compassionate and effective patient care.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Science in Nursing Education. I believe that continuous learning is essential, both for myself and for you as future nurses. I am committed to fostering an environment where we all learn and grow together, enabling you to reach your full potential. I encourage you to ask questions, engage in discussions, and collaborate with your peers. This year, we will explore various aspects of nursing, including clinical practices, patient care ethics, and the latest advancements in healthcare. Together, we will create a supportive community where every student feels valued and empowered.
I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to meeting each of you! Let’s make this a remarkable year filled with learning, growth, and a shared passion for nursing.
Warmest regards,
Ms. Barriel
