Hello everyone! I would like to welcome you all to my Middle School Reading and Critical Thinking courses for the 2025-26 school year. My name is Valeria Alva. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Florida State University in 2015 and I am currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at FIU. I have been teaching children for about 10 years, from preschool, to elementary, high school, and now middle school. My focus has always been to help students grow and become the best versions of themselves. I am so excited to take on this new journey this coming year!
