Admissions Process Step-by-Step

Thank you for making COHEA Career & Collegiate Academy your school of choice!

My name is Ani Gonzalez, and I am the Admissions Director at COHEA. I am so excited to guide you through the 2024 – 2025 admission process.

Current COHEA students: You do not need to apply. Your seat is reserved.

STEP 1: NEW APPLICANTS

All NEW applicants, including interested siblings and students at our sister schools, MUST apply by clicking on the “apply now” tab along the top right side of the main page of our school website.

  • Apply ONLY ONCE per student. Siblings have priority, but the spot is not guaranteed.

Apply for the school via this link: Application Page and schedule an optional campus visit.

STEP 2: ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES

A random selection (lottery) process will be used to select applicants based on available seats in each grade.

2024-205 Admissions Lottery Dates:

  • Lottery 1: November 6, 2023; Orientation 1: January 30, 2024
  • Lottery 2: February 12, 2024; Orientation 2: April 15, 2024

Selected applicants will be notified of their acceptance. Failure to respond to an offer of acceptance by the specified timeframe voids the applicant’s acceptance.

STEP 3: Once you are notified that your child has been accepted into the school, parents need to bring the following for registration:

  • registration packet (provided by the school)
  • birth certificate
  • physical
  • vaccines
  • 2 bills (water and light)

PRIVATE SCHOOL OR NON-MDCPS STUDENTS: If you are accepted, you must show official transcript/grades at the time of acceptance.

Incomplete information may result in non-acceptance.

All students who are working below grade level are required to take remedial courses.
If you need to schedule an appointment, then do so with the barcode below.
