Mrs. Ivelisse Puente Ocampo, has over 20 years of experience in education. She began her career as a third grade teacher at Brito Miami Private School and then continued to Melrose Elementary as a fourth grade teacher where she became the Lead Teacher. Shortly after, she left to Excelsior Language Academy K-8 as the Assistant Principal and Principal.

She has been a member of City of Hialeah Educational Academy Middle/High since 2012 as the Vice Principal.

Mrs. Puente Ocampo was the recipient of the Assistant Principal of the Year in 2017 for the City of Hialeah. 

She was also recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2007 at Melrose Elementary.

Mrs. Puente Ocampo graduated from Barry University with a K-6 Education Degree and ESOL endorsement. She holds a Master's Degree in Exceptional Student Education and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Mrs. Puente Ocampo assumed various leadership roles during her educational career as the ESOL Coordinator, Gradebook Manager, Title I and Title III Coordinator, STEM Coordinator,

Career Day Leader and Department Chairperson.

Mrs. Puente Ocampo is a devoted educator who is passionate about her career and always strives for her students to be their best.
