Mrs. Cristene Martinez-Paez is Hialeah Educational Academy's Mass Communications Academy Director and CIVICA Marketing Director. She is also part of the school's leadership team. She brings more than 15 years of marketing and media relations experience to the school. Prior to joining COHEA six years ago, Mrs. Martinez-Paez served as a journalist for local health organizations and news stations, including Tenet Health, American Heart Association, Miami Children's Hospital, NBC6/Telemundo, Univision Network, WFOR and the Miami Herald. She holds a bachelors degree in Broadcast Communications from Florida International University.

Mrs. Martinez-Paez believes that students' voices should be heard and the Mass Communications Academy is the perfect outlet for them to express themselves creatively and intellectually.
